Full policy

Effective date: September 9, 2026

Fire Prevention CEU (“FPCEU,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an online training service operated by Strategic Code Solutions LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit firepreventionceu.com, create an account, purchase or complete a course, take an assessment, download a certificate, or contact us.

Information we collect

We may collect information you provide, including your name, email address, username, account information, billing contact information, course enrollments, assessment results, completion records, certificates, communications, and support requests.

Our website and Moodle learning platform may automatically collect technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, login activity, timestamps, cookies, and system logs. This information supports authentication, security, site operation, troubleshooting, analytics, and fraud prevention.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. FPCEU does not receive or store your complete payment-card number. Stripe may collect payment, billing, device, and fraud-prevention information under its own privacy policy. We receive transaction details needed to confirm payment, provide access, issue receipts, maintain financial records, and address refunds or disputes.

How we use information

We use information to create and manage accounts; process purchases and enrollment; deliver course materials; administer quizzes; record progress and completion; issue and verify certificates; send account, payment, course, and service communications; provide support; maintain security; prevent misuse; comply with legal obligations; and improve our courses and website.

How we share information

We may share information with service providers that support our operations, including Moodle hosting and technical providers, Stripe for payment processing, and Google Workspace for email delivery and business communications. These providers receive information only as needed to perform their services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate fraud or security concerns, or in connection with a business reorganization or transfer.

We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and similar technologies

Moodle uses cookies and related technologies to maintain login sessions, remember preferences, secure accounts, and operate course features. Disabling required cookies may prevent account login or course access.

Course records and retention

We retain account, enrollment, completion, assessment, certificate, transaction, and support records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, document continuing-education activity, meet accounting and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the integrity of certificates. Retention periods may vary by record type.

Your choices

You may review and update certain account information through your Moodle profile. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. Some information may be retained where required for financial, legal, security, certificate-verification, or legitimate business purposes. Transactional messages necessary for account security, purchases, enrollment, or course completion cannot always be opted out of while using the service.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, and users are responsible for protecting their passwords and account access.

Children

FPCEU is intended for fire-service, code-enforcement, design, and other adult professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

External links

Our website may link to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and FPCEU is not responsible for third-party content or practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. The effective date above will be revised when changes are published. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acknowledgment of the revised policy.

Summary

Terms governing accounts, course purchases, assessments, certificates and use of Fire Prevention CEU.

Full policy

Effective date: September 9, 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of firepreventionceu.com and the online courses, assessments, certificates, and related services offered by Fire Prevention CEU (“FPCEU”), which is operated by Strategic Code Solutions LLC. By creating an account, purchasing a course, or using the site, you agree to these terms.

Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate information, maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, transferred, or used to complete training for another person.

Courses and educational purpose

FPCEU provides professional continuing education. Course content is intended for general educational purposes and does not replace applicable laws, regulations, adopted codes, standards, manufacturer instructions, engineering judgment, legal advice, or the requirements of an authority having jurisdiction. Users are responsible for confirming the editions, amendments, and requirements applicable to their work and jurisdiction.

Unless expressly stated, completion of an FPCEU course does not create a professional license, government certification, employment qualification, or authorization to perform regulated work. Acceptance of contact hours or certificates is determined by the user’s employer, licensing body, credentialing organization, or authority having jurisdiction.

Purchases and access

Course prices and included features are shown at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe. Access is provided to the purchasing account after successful payment and enrollment. Taxes, if applicable, may be added or handled as required. You are responsible for using accurate billing and account information.

Assessments and certificates

Course completion may require viewing instructional content, completing activities, and achieving a stated passing score. Certificates are issued only when the applicable requirements are satisfied. You may not misrepresent completion, alter a certificate, permit another person to take an assessment for you, or use a certificate fraudulently. FPCEU may correct records, revoke certificates, or suspend access when fraud, account sharing, technical manipulation, or material error is identified.

Refunds

Purchases are governed by the Refund Policy. If that link is not yet active during initial publication, contact us at info@codestrategist.com.

Permitted use and intellectual property

Course materials, videos, presentations, questions, graphics, logos, downloads, and website content are owned by or licensed to Strategic Code Solutions LLC and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Purchase grants one user a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to access the course for its intended educational purpose. You may not copy, record, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, scrape, or create derivative works from course materials except with prior written permission or as allowed by law.

Acceptable use

You may not interfere with site operation or security; attempt unauthorized access; upload malicious code; misuse another person’s information; engage in harassment, fraud, or unlawful activity; or use automated tools to extract content or overwhelm the service. We may restrict or terminate access for violations, security concerns, chargebacks, fraud, or conduct that threatens the service or other users.

Availability and changes

We may update courses, assessments, prices, features, or these terms and may perform maintenance or address technical issues. We aim to provide reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. If a material access problem cannot be corrected, the Refund Policy describes available remedies.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and services are provided “as is” and “as available.” FPCEU and Strategic Code Solutions LLC disclaim warranties not expressly stated, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FPCEU and Strategic Code Solutions LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, employment or licensing decisions, or reliance on course content. Any direct liability arising from a purchased course will not exceed the amount paid for that course, except where applicable law does not permit such a limitation.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Massachusetts, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes and contact

We may revise these terms by publishing an updated version and changing the effective date. Questions may be directed to Strategic Code Solutions LLC, 182 Summer Street, Suite 355, Kingston, MA 02364; info@codestrategist.com; (781) 524-7000.
