Practical training for fire inspectors, fire marshals and authorities having jurisdiction who receive and evaluate third-party sprinkler inspection, testing and maintenance reports.
Planned learning objectives:
• Distinguish deficiencies, impairments and critical findings.
• Evaluate inspection frequencies and report completeness.
• Identify common sprinkler, water-supply and fire-pump findings.
• Document corrective action and follow-up.

NFPA 1030 JPR Alignment
This course supports the following job performance requirements in NFPA 1030, 2024 edition:
- Fire Inspector: 7.2.1, 7.2.2, 7.4.4, and 7.5.4 — determine compliance, document findings, evaluate fire-protection systems, and compare installed systems with approved plans.
- Fire Marshal — Mission-Specific: 5.2.3 and 5.2.6 — support compliance-inspection and regulatory record-keeping programs.
This course supports the listed JPRs but does not by itself confer NFPA certification or constitute a complete performance evaluation of any JPR.
